Transfer Starlink Account to a New Buyer
Why Account Transfer Matters
Every Starlink device is tied to one account. Without transferring the account:
- ❌ The buyer can't activate the device
- ❌ The device becomes a paperweight
- ❌ You keep paying the subscription
The rule: Don't sell without transferring the account. Don't buy without confirming the transfer.
Transfer Steps (For the Seller)
Official Method — Via Support
- Sign in to your account at starlink.com
- Go to Support
- Select Account → Transfer Service
- Enter the buyer's email (they need a Starlink account)
- Starlink sends confirmation to both parties
- The buyer accepts the transfer from their account
- Done — the device is now on the new account
Expected Timeline
- Electronic process: Minutes
- Starlink confirmation: 1–3 business days

- Create an account at starlink.com (if you don't have one)
- Give the seller your email registered on the account
- Wait for the transfer notification from Starlink
- Accept the transfer
- Add a payment method for the monthly subscription
- Receive the hardware and power it on
