LUULWA creates handcrafted leather goods that translate the crafts, geometry, and visual heritage of the Middle East and North Africa into contemporary design.
What We Make
Bags, wallets, and working pieces in full-grain leather — made slowly, in limited quantities, and finished by hand. Selected pieces carry a hand-woven heritage textile or an individual number connecting them to their batch and materials.
How We Design
We treat heritage as structure, not decoration. The geometry of a Sadu weave becomes the rhythm of a panel; the proportions of traditional forms shape a silhouette. We would rather translate a craft into construction than print its image onto a surface.
Where Things Come From
Every LUULWA piece is designed by LUULWA and handcrafted in small ateliers, in limited quantities.
We are precise about provenance. When a piece uses an authentic heritage textile — such as a hand-woven Sadu panel — we say so. When a design draws on the visual language of a craft or a region, we say “inspired by”. We never present inspiration as origin, and we never present a printed pattern as a hand-made one.
Made to Be Kept
We make fewer pieces and stand behind them longer. The LUULWA Craftsmanship Guarantee covers stitching, construction, and hardware, and our care and restoration services keep a piece in use rather than in a drawer.
